As of now the October 29th deadline remains(even though I would not be surprised if it was extended again) and all traders don’t want to miss one minute of these volatile markets!! The deadline for proprietary traders to take the series 56 has been extended once again. The new deadline is now October 29th, 2011.

I’ve been on Wall Street for 15 years and have seen many new tests come to the market place. I have never seen one like the series 56 come to market and regulation with such haste. To go out on a limb, my prediction is that the CBOE will extend the August 12th deadline for approximately 60-120 days to complete the trader’s examination.
